A luxary Friday

Today I was totally spoiled by my soulmate, Sofia, who I spend the morning and day with. She took me for breakfast at Weiner Caféet which was reaaally nice! The atmosphere there is so luxurious and classic, right there on Biblioteksgatan. We both had eggs benedict (obvi) and then a chocolate croissant and tea. So yummy.

Then we strolled around and looked through some stores there on Biblioteksgatan and swatched are hands full at Sephora. Which is a given, to be honest. Then we walked up through Gallerian to Åhléns and then walked down Drottninggatan. Then we took the subway to St. Eriksplan and had fika at Sophies Canelé. We've had their breakfast before (which was insane) but not actually tasted their canelés...which is what they're known for lol. So we took one each, Sofia took one with lemon (and something) and I took the original one with vanilla and rum. AND I KNOOOW what you're thinking...rum, really?? Well let me tell you, you could barely taste the rum. Trust me. But anyways, the canelés....were like nothing I've ever tasted before! Caramelized and crispy on the outside, and soft, almost pudding-like on the inside, they're were truly special. But I really liked them! So we sat there, chatting about whatnot and then around 15 ish we splitted up after a suuuper nice day together. I really needed a day like this <3

Look at this little cutie!

Game arcade etc

On Friday evening I met up with Dena at Odenplan after her shift had ended, to head to a game arcade! She had been there before with her brother, but it was my first time there! We almost forgot to show ID at the door (lol) but once inside we headed directly to the arcade part of the establishment (there were also a bar and pool tables). The arcade part wasn't all too big, but had many cool machines! We bought some tokens and started off by playing Bishi Bashi! That game...is insane. Then we played some taiko (japanese drums) and Mario Go cart...and then some more taiko haha! I love that game so much (even though I suck at it). We played some anime songs as well as some classics. Super fun.

Btw these are NOT the taiko we played, but cool game nonetheless!

On the next day we stayed in bed half the day and then had lunch at Ni Hao at St. Eriksplan. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I LOVE THAT PLACE. Their food is so good and the staff is super friendly. After lunch we went to Anna to chat and chill. Always a good time. Then later that evening Dena went back to Umeå.... I'm sad to see her leave but we've spent alot of great time together in Sthlm this summer. It's gonna feels weird not being able to see here several times a week....

Dena's face after dropping some yakitori on the floor for the 2nd time.

Totoro in the park

Yesterday I went to the Film Festival's outdoors cinema! I met up with Tove and two of her friends and we sat and chilled for a few hours before the movie started. The movie they were showing yesterday was My Neighbour Totoro! I haven't seen it in like....9 years maybe? It's insane. And then, just when the movie started, Maja joined us as well! She's gonna be here in Sthlm now all until the end of October <3 It was a nice evening~

When I arrived at 18:30, there were already a lot of people there!

More people...

Tove :D

Majaaa :D

All over the place

I had such a nice day yesterday with Dena, and we went all over the place together! We went to a second hand store in Spånga (super cool and BIG), went back to the city for me to FINALLY try the ice cream burger at King Scoopa, then went to Liljeholmen, then back home, then up again to Hornstull to buy some take out dinner and then back home again. Such a random and nice day.

An ice cream burger (true rocky road ice cream with marshmallows and peanuts, salted caramel sauce AND a chocolate chip cookie. All that goodness inside a sugary donut and warmed in a waffle iron. Bless)

<3

Weekend

So yesterday I had my last day at work. Feels good but at the same time....not good. We'll see what will happen the upcoming weeks...I'll figure it out somewhow.
-
So today I had a tea time date with Iris in her new apartment. It's close to St. Eriksplan and is ABSOLUTELY dreamy. And with the easy connection between us with the no 4 bus I simply dropped by there around 13:00 and we just sat and TALKED. While sipping about 1 litre of tea of course. It was super nice.
-
I'm feeling a bit slow due to the storm passing Stockholm and had to take something for the headache but I'm gonna try to be a bit productive before calling it the night...but I'd rather just curl up in my armchair and watch Descendants of the Sun (on ep 8 now! It's really good!).

Eh?

I have no idea why I haven't blogged at all these past few weeks. It just..didn't happen.
It's not that I haven't been doing stuff (Ina was here visiting which was amaze, I've hanged out with Dena alot which is always epic, I've been working etc) but I just...didn't find the drive to blog. Huh.
-
I think one major part of this is that I haven't been taking any pics with my camera lately. Pictures from my phone is just not the same, you know. So that's another thing...ah well. I should get back to the routine and blog like I usually do. I'll work on that. Now I am gonna see Antman since I haven't seen it before and it's FRIDAAAY.

Seoul 2017 pt. 5

On our 12th day in Seoul, we went to Insadong to visit a temple and then we had a dolsot bibimbap lunch in that area. Then we headed to Apgujong and went to Cafe Mula, one of my top most hyped cafés. So much white and marble. We shared their King Size Matcha Tiramisu which was really good. After that we headed to Eungbong to climb Eungbong san (a small mountain? a large hill? who knows). It was really nice! To round the day off we headed to Gangnam for Indian food! On our 13th day, our last full day in Seoul, we headed to Myeongdong to pick up some last things and have lunch at YG's restaurant. We'd heard that their fried chicken would be insane...and the rumors were true. Probs the best fried chicken I've had in my entire life. Then we went back to our apartment and packed our bags etc and went to bed early. The next day we woke up at 4:00 in the morning and then headed to the airport and then...went back home :)

THUS CONCLUDES our Japan & Korea trip! It took a while to post it all but, better late than never! It was such an amazing trip and I'll never forget it. But now I can return to blog about life here in Sthlm, which won't be as exciting as travelling but whatevs. Back to reality FOR REAL now!

Seoul 2017 pt. 4

On our 10th day in Seoul we went to Time Square mall in Yeongdeungpo. That's where Amber and Luna shot their "Wave" music video!! The mall was super nice with a lot of shops and cool restaurants. We had lunch at a Japanese restaurant just for the lolz. Later we went to Banana Tree, in Sinsa (or rather between Sinsa and Apgujong I think...) and had their famous potted pudding and cotton candy latte. On our 11th day we visited Namdaemun market and then walked along Seoullo 7017 towards Seoul station. Then we visited a museum close to Gyeongbokgung and when we exited the museum they were changing the guards at the gate! The timing!! Then we went for fika at a Innisfree café and then went to Insadong and had mandu for dinner.

Seoul 2017 pt. 3

We spent our seventh day in Hondae. We had brunch at a cool place called Ugly Stove and then I went to my hair appointment to perm my hair! It took about 3 ½ hours and then we met up again for dinner (ribs and cheese omg). After dinner we went to a very hyped café called Creamfields, which was like...goals. On our eighth day we visited Namsan Tower, enjoyed a fika at Passion5 in Itaewon, visited the war memorial of Korea, had a quick stop at Ehwa Women's University and then finished the day off with a huge melon bingsu! On our ninth day we visited COEX mall and SM Town. It was crazy. Then in the evening we had Korean BBQ again and then dessert at Billy Angel (maybe my fave?! I wanna go there every day </3).

Seoul 2017 pt. 2

On our third day, we visted Lotte World Mall. A super huge shopping mall with tons of nice cafés (like Doré Doré which I've been hyping like hell!) We also saw Wonder Women (which was amazing!). On our fourth day we explored Gangnam and had Korean BBQ in the evening. On our fifth day we went café hopping in Garosugil. I think that Garosugil is my favourite place in all of Seoul...there's tons of cafés and shops!! And then had a street food feast in the evening at Myeongdong. On our sixth day we had a facial (which was insane) and then went for sushi at Itaewon.

Seoul 2017 pt. 1

After arriving in Seoul, super early in the morning, we headed to our AirBnb apartment in Chungmuro and chilled a bit. Later that day we headed out and explored the area. The next day, on our first real day in Seoul, we headed to Myeongdong to do some shopping and then had dinner in Hongdae. On the second day, we visited Gyeongbokgung and the Bukchon Hanok Village and also Insadong. In the evening we went to Gwangjang market for some street food!

Tokyo 2017 pt. 2

On our fifth day in Tokyo, me, Sofia and Satsuki went to Yokohama to visit China Town there and EAT EVERYTHING. On the sixth day (monday) we went to Disney Sea together with Yuuki. It was such a perfect day. Then on our last day in Tokyo, our friends showed us around campus at Tokyo University. Satsuki's family spoiled us one last time with an amazing feast at home before heading to Haneda Airport. Then that night we caught our flight to Seoul~

Tokyo 2017 pt. 1

Okay....here goes. I am gonna post some pics from our first four days in Tokyo. During the first day we were super jet lagged and after arriving to our friend Satsuki's house, we then went out and visted Shinjukugyoen. It was super big and very beautiful! On the second day me and Sofia went shopping alone and in the evening we met up with Satsuki and Yuuki for dinner! Sweet Yuuki, how I've missed her <3 On the third day the four of us hanged out in Shibuya together! On the fourth day me, Sofia and Satsuki visited some temples and then met up with Tomone who was in town. So great to see her again as well!

Ume

I took plane up to Umeå early on Monday morning and I am gonna spend the entire week here hanging out with friends and family. Some last vacation before work starts next week. Also need to start worrying about what to do this fall. Ugh. I have many ideas, I just need to decide on WHAT idea is the best. And I hate having to make big decision like this....
-
Btw still contemplating on how to blog about the trip. Should I make like...Tokyo pt 1, Pt 2 and write about it in a condensed format maybe? And then the same with Seoul?? Hmm...

Back to Sthlm

Last night, at around midnight, we safely arrived back in Stockholm. We've had such amazing 3 weeks in Japan and South Korea..it's unreal. I am slowly getting back to reality etc and I'm gonna chill in Stockholm for a few days before going up north to Umeå for a week. So I'm kinda still on vacation mode? Kinda.
-
I am not sure how I am gonna...まとめて..the whole trip and all. There SOOO many pictures. I'll have to think about that. Now I am just gonna relax and probs go to bed early. The jetlag is not that bad at all actually, only thing is my head feels like 2 times bigger haha. Ah well.

We're off

Tomorrow me and Sofia are leaving for Tokyo! And then next week we are going to Seoul! I am SO EXCITED I CAN'T CONTAIN MYSELF!! We'll be back on the 28th of June. Until then, this blog will go on a summer break as well. You'll find updates of our trip on Facebook and/or Instagram. Byee~

One last dinner with the girls

Last night I met up with the girls from GU for a final dinner together! We had booked a table at Bistroteket, and we were super excited. Half of us ordered their "råbiff" and the others got some other delicious looking dishes. This was my first ever "råbiff" and...wow. It was incredible. It tasted of truffle, parmesan and..I don't know but it was delicious. Then we all got desserts (chocolate cake woop) and sat there chatting away. It was such a nice last night out. Now we'll all split for a while, but all of us will stay in Stockholm even after this summer so it didn't feel like a  "good bye" dinner or anything. More like a "damn we are awesome" dinner.

A Bachelor's Degree in Global Development = Check!

Yesterday, me and my classmates finally graduated! It was such a nice and perfect day and I'll remember it forever.
-
We met up at Uni at 13:00 ish to hand in our thesis. Handing it over felt kinda strange, cause it took like 2 seconds and then, 10 weeks of work was just...gone. Haha! Then we moved over to Political Science institution's "party room" for some mingle. They had served up some snacks and drinks and we took some group pictures and "mingled" with our other classmates, lecturers and some of our mentors also dropped by. It was quite nice.

Brought my thesis with me inside a Pokémon file, of course. Who do you think I am?

We we're early to the party so we started decorating...

The fully decorated table!

-
Then me and my girls took some pics of just us (you might've already seen some om them on Facebook) and then we went to Kungsan for "Smaka på Stockholm"! They have this food festival with several food trucks and pop up restaurants until next week and wanted to check it out! There were tons of people there but it wasn't difficult finding a table, lucklily enough. We bought some food (super good) and sat there a bit, chatting before we moved over to the park side of the...park. Lol. We sat down in the grass and just relaxed and talked for a bit before walking to Gamla Stan and then we split.

These girls tho <3

Eyyy Vezzo.

This tho.

:>

It was such a nice, calm and relaxed graduation day. Just how I like it. It still feels surreal that I am no longer a student...and that I won't have anymore classes with my wonderful friends. These 3 years has gone by SO FAST. It's kind of embarrassing to think about how..."uneducated" I was before starting at Uni. Not to say one has to study at Uni, but wow I didn't know much about the world before I started my program. It like "I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T KNOW THIS BEFORE" kinda moment, x 1000. That's how I would sum up my 3 years at Global Development.
-
I don't wanna start stressing about what to do this fall (even though I can't help it sometimes...) and just enjoy this summer, and being free again. Starting off by going on a 3 week long vacation next week. SO EXCITED!

Submitted!

Today I submitted my BA thesis and printed out two copies to hand in tomorrow. FINALLYYYYY!! Now I am heading out and meeting up with Dena~ Wohoo

Sunny times

Today me and Sofia walked around Djurgården in the early summer heat. Today was even warmer than yesterday, with up to 28°C and blue skies. It was fantastic. The last time I walked around Djurgården was last August, together with Sofia and Lawler. Time flies. We need to do this more often.

Sup?

-
We had a ice cream break just before we got the embassies (we had ice cream there last summer too when we were walking around Gärdet!) and their pecan ice cream was just as good as last time. Then we continued walking and then turned up to Karlaplan and took the subway to Gamla Stan to go for some gelato at Stikki Nikki. Hehe. Such an amazing day!
