Back in Stockholm again

It's been a while, hasn't it?
-
Like I wrote earlier (a week back or so), I decided to take a break from blogging during my stay in Umeå. I've had such a great time up in the North! I've been hanging out with all of my friends and family and just....enjoyed life. Maybe a bit TOO much since I've probably gained like 5 kg these past 2 weeks haha!
-
Anyway, it feels great to be back in town and tomorrow I'll celebrate New Year's Eve with my dear friends. Woohoo!!
-
Ps. Pics from my visit to Umeå will have to come later. I have no energy right now for technology that doesn't want to co-operate...

Up North

Yass I'm currently in Umeå.
Which means, I won't be writing here so much during my stay here.
I might write a little when I have time, but now I just want to relax with my friends and family and not having to turn on my laptop every day. I'll be back in Sthlm on the 30th.
See you!

No. 66

Today has been a half-assed try to have been a productive day. I kinda had i going for me in the morning, but around 15:00 I ended up in my armchair watching old videos by Kinglsey on Youtube. Bless that guy.
-
But yeah, I went and had my nail done this morning (chose a red, glittery colour. Perfect for Christmas!) and then I went to the gym. Since I still feel a little sick (sore throat and a slight pain in my ears from the otitis I had almost 1 ½ months ago) I just powerwalked on the treadmill, listening to "Welcome to Nightvale" podcasts. They are so great!
Before and after pic of my nails!

Aaand a close up!

On my left hand (the one the picture) I have all of my natural nails (no fake tips). On my right hand I still have the fake extension on my middle finger and now I also got gel repair on my index finger. Hopefully they'll stay nice and pretty for the upcoming weeks! YAY!
-
Then later during the day I tried to read a bit but failed miserably. My mind has taken vacation since last week to be honest. I won't try to go for a higher grade on this course so......if I'll get an E I'll be happy haha!

We fight for Spira

I've had an amazing weekend together with Maja! That's right! My "Player 1" visited Stockholm this weekend and last night we began our evening together by having an epic dinner at Beijing 8. Such delicious food!

MAJA :D
-
Then we bought some snacks for the evening and went back to my place to watch the latest season of "The Walking Dead". We've been following that series from day 1 and we're not about to stop watching it anytime soon! We saved the last 2 episodes during this mid-season thingy so we'll watch episode 7 & 8 when I get back home to Umeå next week. Can't wait!
-
It's been so great hangin out with Maja these 2 days. Alot of eating, laughing and (of course) gaming-talk! I always get gaming-urges after hanging out/talking with her! I just love it! Next game on my list it FF X HD remix! Woop!

Saving Ivalice

So since my laptop was annoying me so much last night, I decided to play some more FF XII and go and beat the final boss. And I did it! It went 1000x times better than last time I did it (like 4 years ago...)! But yeah....always feels a little weird finishing a game that you played for so long (my playtime was 109 h). FF XII is truly an underrated game!! More people should try it out!

Stupid Vaio

My laptop has been giving me a really hard time lately and thus I'm trying to not use it too much as a form of payback for it not behaving responsibly. Stupid technology that forgets how to work properly....
-
Anyway, this morning I overslep 50 min. Yup. I managed to set my alarm clock on Friday NEXT WEEK. Wow...that's a first. Well it didn't matter much, I still got to Uni 20 min too early haha. I sat there working on an assignment together with my classmate for a few hours and then I took the bus home.
-
After getting home I didn't get much done....feel slightly handicapped when my laptop isn't working. I played some FFXII and then I talked to Dena on Skype but that was cut short too because of my crappy laptop. Ugh.....maybe I'll have to buy a new one.....I don't want toooooo!! I wanted to keep this at least one year more. Then I would've had it for 5 years, which I think is quite long enough. But maybe 4 years isn't that bad either, considering that I use it every day, 15 hours a day (ok maybe not but still) and that it has travelled ALOT (back and forth to Japan, school, Uni etc). Hmmm...

Gamer Q/A

I found these questions on Tumblr (ofc haha) and thought they'd be fun to answer!
  • 1:Do you try to stay away from walkthroughs? I'll try to stay away from them as much as I can but, let's be honest, sometimes you just get fed up with being stuck in a temple for 5 h soo...yeah. Guilty.

  • 2:Company you're always loyal to? I've played on alot of different consoles so far (Nintento, Xbox, Playstation) but if I had to pick a favorite, it would have to be Playstation.

  • 3:Best game you've ever played? Tricky question but I think I'll have to say Kingdom Hearts 2.

<3

  • 4:Worst game you've ever played? Hmm..Maybe "Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass" for the Nintendo DS. Everyone loved it except for me who didn't understand the gameplay so I actually returned it. True story.

  • 5:A popular series/game you just can't get into no matter how much you try? Hmm..can't really think of one...maybe Halo? haha!

  • 6:A game that's changed you the most? Kingdom hearts! Both the 1st and the 2nd. Definitely.

  • 7:A game you'll never forget? Instead of saying Kingdom hearts again I'll say Final Fantasy X. The storyline and the gameplay is just amazing.
Bless this game!

  • 8:Best soundtrack? I love "Final Fantasy XIII's" soundtrack but also the soundtrack for Okami is amazing...and "Eternal Sonata"! Nothing beats Chopin! Or "Shadow of the Colossus"...damn I can't decide.

  • 9:A game you turn your volume off every time you play it? Slender man LOL! (don't really play it but whatever...if I were to play it, I would turn off the volume!).

  • 10:A game you've completely given up on? Hmm...I haven't given up on it 100 % but...Okami. Stupid wolf-god-I-don't-even-know-anymore. And this One Piece game I got in Japan. And "The 3rd Birtday" for the NDS.... I have no idea what I'm doing.

  • 11:Hardest game you've played? I don't really play difficult games since most of them are RPG haha. Maybe "Resident Evil 5" on proffesional mode? Also "The World Ends With You" for the Nintendo DS was a bit tricky in the end.

  • 12:Shortest time you've beaten a game in? "Dirge of Cerberus" I think. Around 4 hours of playtime.
Good game but too short!

  • 13:A game you were the most excited for when it wasn't released yet? I was quite psyched up for FF XIII-2....and it did turn out cool. Not AMAZIN' but...good.

  • 14:A game you think would be cool if it had voice acting? What? Doesn't most games have some king of voice acting in them? I'm sorry I don't understand this question haha.

  • 15:Which two games do you think would make an awesome crossover? Ooooh! My initial thought was "Kingdom Hearts" and "Final Fantasy" but since that's kinda already been made (I mean, KH is a big crossover game in itself!) sooo....maybe "Final Fantasy Dissidia Duodecim" and "Smash Brothers"? Hahah the ultimate fighting game!

  • 16:Character you've hated most? From what game? Chris Redfield from "Resident Evil"? Hahaha nooooo I don't hate him. He's just the most ridiculous guy I ever met (?). Trying to be all manly and buff but no....he just looks stupid. And Mathilda from "Midtown Madness 3"...I just wanted to punch her in the face.
This photoset makes me so angry.
  • 17:What game do you never tell people you play? Well...I'm not really bragging about the crazy long playtime I have on the first Naruto Ultimate Ninja game.....over 100 h. And the game sucks haha.

  • 18:A game you wish your friends knew about? Probably Okami...mostly because I need help finishing it xD

  • 19:Which game do you think deserves a revival? POKÉMON SNAP!! Imagine a HD remix for Wii U....guuuurl I'd buy that instantly!
EPIC!
  • 20:What was the first video game you ever played? I think it was "Yoshi's Story" for the Ninteno 64. Good times.
I can still hear the theme song in my head xD

  • 21:How old were you when you first played a video game? Oh wow I dunno...uuhm maybe 7? No? 6? I DON'T REMEMBER!

  • 22:If you could immerse yourself in any game for one day, which game would it be? What would you do? Kingdom Hearts 2! I would build a gummi ship together with Cid and travel to all of the worlds in the game. That would be epic!

  • 23:Biggest disappointment you've had in gaming? I hate to say it, but one of the top disappointments I've had, gaming wise, would have to be FF XIII-2. Mostly because my expectations were sky high and it didn't really deliver, you know.
Noel was the best thing about FF XIII-2...

  • 24:Casual, Hardcore, or in the middle? I think I used to be more on the hardcore side, but recently I haven't really had the time nor the energy to go all in on my gaming so...yeah...in the middle or on the verge of casual.

  • 25:Be honest; have you ever used cheats (like ActionReplay or Gameshark)? For different Sims games, yes!

  • 26:Handheld or console? Console! But let's never forget all of the great moments with the Game Boy Color!
This looks just like the Game Boy Color I had!

  • 27:Has there ever been a moment that has made you cry? Are you kidding me?! OF COURSE! Too many times! ;___;

  • 28:Which character's clothes do you wish you owned the most? That's a hard questions! I want so many! Lightning's from FF XIII, Lulu from FF X, Yuna also from FF X are only a few who's wardrobe I want to steal!

  • 29:Which is more important, gameplay or story? Tricky question. Like, the story in FFXII is ridiculous but I really enjoy the gameplay (and I still play it + 100 h). But in games where the gameplay is bad you can't really even...play. Haha so yeah, gameplay is more important in my opinion.

  • 30:A game that hasn't been localized in your country that you think should be localized? There's too many cool games in Japan right now that you can't buy in Europe I can't even begin to think about it....*cries*

23

(The 8th of December was a crappy day at first but did a 180 later in the evening thanks to Sofia, Pirates of the Caribbean and snacks etc. But this post will not be about that.)
-
Soooo yesterday I turned 23. I can't really believe it myself. I don't feel 23 at all. Maybe 20? Ah well. I had an amazing birthday together with Sofia. She spent the night here so I woke up next to her and she sang "Happy Birthday" to me and I opened my presents (from her and the gifts Mom and Dad sent me). Then we just laid in bed for a few hours, chilling, talking. After that we had an eeeeeepic breakfast.

Then we got ready and headed to the Army Museum in Östermalm. Sofia has been there before but this was the first time for me. The exhibition was really good and I enjoyed it very much!

"Please, choose a weapon"

Miniatures.

Badass coats!

Sofia the giant terrorising a farm.

Fabulous!

My kind of gun!

Then we went home and had some fika and watched "Historieätarna". After that, we got ready for dinner. Curly hair, lipstick and fabulous dresses! Awh yeah! We had booked at table at "Vassa Eggen" and were ready to feast on some good meat! And yes, the food was fantastic! Although the volume in the restaurant was a little too loud so instead of just sitting there chatting after dinner, we took the train back home and had dessert at my place while watching another episode of "Historieätarna".

Gorgeous Sofia!

Different sauces to the main course.

MEAT!

HAPPY :D
-
I had such an amazing day yesterday! And thank you all for the congratulations!
Today will not be as amazing....I have TONS of school work to catch up on...uugh.

2nd Advent

Today has gone by pretty fast... I've felt pretty tired and haven't had any energy to study at all.
So instead I've been watching alot of Supernatural S4. But I managed to do some productive things today:

* "Källsortera"....whatever that's in English?
* Grocery shopping
* Done a mountain of laundry
* Been to a "Advents-mys-evening"-thingy at my classmate's place. She literally lives one block away from me so I just grabbed my jacket and walked there haha. She had made alot of Christmas treats and sweets and of course there was mulled wine and "julmust". We were maybe 10 ppl and we just sat and talked about tons of different things, everything from Sims City 4 to submarines and trafficking. My classmates are awesome. I had a great time!

Empty plates after enjoying some Christmas sweets with a pot of mulled wine in the middle.Of course she also had some "poison free" mulled wine for the few of us who had no interest in the alcoholic one :)

Fre-Lör

Woop! I have had an amazing time together with Sofia these past 2 days (yesterday & today).
Last night we met up at Hornstull, bought some snacks and dinner take away to eat at my place. Then we sat and watched "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" together. Just lovely.

Cosy time with HP, candles and Nutella hot chocolate with whipped cream. Last night was epic!

-
Then today we got up early and went to Centralbadet. It was fantastic and sooo beautiful inside! We sat in the relaxation area, swam and played around in the big pool and also sat in the sauna. So relaxing and amazing.

-

Then later we went to have dinner at Mutto Sushi, one of the best sushi places in Stockholm according to some people. I've eaten take away from that place 2 times before but never sitting and eating at the restaurant. But oooh my god. That sushi...just heavenly. Seriously, it tasted amazing!

Sofia's sushi!
My sushi! Looks boring but these rolls were filled with avocado and fried shrimp. Sooo good!

B0101, D2022, A1003.

Today has been quite a busy day, but it has been awesome!
-
I started on my next course at Uni, "Human geography" (I think it's called in English...).
Seems interesting but we'll have much more work to do during this course than the last. Ugh.
-
After class I went home and had lunch and watched some Supernatural S4 (YEEEEEEEEES finally rewatching season 4! I started watching yesterday and ooooh my god I'd forgotten how badass Castiel's entrance was...daaaym son). Then I went to the gym for the first time in like 1 ½ months...so that felt good.
-
Then later in the afternoon I went to Rådmansgatan to meet up with my old collegues. We went to a nearby café for some fika at sat there chatting about random things for almost 3 ½ hours haha! They're awesome! I really miss our time together at JFC....we had so much fun together!

Almost too epic fika! It looks like I ordered a glass of whipped cream but no, trust me, there's some hot chocolate hiding underneath xD

Greveholm!

I finished my essay around noon today! Woop!
So I went home and bought some pasta take away for lunch and sat in my armchair and watch ALL OF "Mysteriet på Greveholm" from 1996. Okay I did watch 2 episodes last night but...still. Hahah I loooove Greveholm! The CGI was just so cute. I can't believe it's 18 years since it aired...make me feel so old xD

A big LIKE!

Today has been a good day. Managed to write alot on my essay and left Uni at around 13:30 to go home and take it easy.Played some FF XII (getting closer to the end now! Over 108 h playtime!) and drank aaaaaalot of tea.
-
Other than that I'm just sitting here in front of my laptop smiling like an idiot. Why? Because why not! I just read some awesome stuff at two girls's blogs (one that I follow and other one I found just out of pure coincidence) but aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! People like them makes me smile and makes me wanna dance and sing! Hahahahaaaaa! I wish I could hug hem.... I'm acting like the biggest fangirl ever but who cares, these gals are fantastic! The world definitely needs more people like those two girls =)

-
Tonight I might watch Thor: The Dark World or Mysteriet på Greveholm...haven't decided yet haha! But I feel like I should watch Greveholm just to get into the Christmas spirit you know! Hmmm....
